Explore and Make: Creative art workshops for ages 50 and over

Our programme of creative art workshops for those aged 50 or above takes place online each month. Using architecture and the RIBA's collections as inspiration, you will create your own art in these artist-led online workshops. Free, but booking is essential.

Let’s get creative at home. Book a free place on 'Explore and Make', our programme of monthly art workshops for those aged 50 or above. With us you will explore buildings and architecture while you make your artwork. No experience is required, suitable for all abilities.

All sessions are led by artists or RIBA staff, and each will use different techniques and media. Inspiration for these interactive online workshops come from images in the RIBA’s world-class architectural collections of books, drawings, photographs, and archives. Booking is essential.

We hope to be able to restart in-person sessions at the RIBA HQ building in London in the future.

Online workshop 'Explore and Make Online': We will be experimenting with making sculptures from newspaper. Book here for 10.30am Thursday, 30 September 2021 (45 minutes).

Future workshops

Bookings for other online workshops will open closer to the date: 28 October and 25 November. Please check this page again for updates and booking, or sign up for our newsletter.
